From creating long ambient swells of atmospheric reverberation, to stuttering, chaotic feedback oscillations overloading your amplifier. When The Sun Explodes is the end of all things.

The reverberation on its own emulates a classic spring tank unit popularized in 60’s amplifiers, with a variety of controls to shape the tone and length of the reverberated signal. The feedback footswitch engages a linear rising or LFO/tremolo controlled feedback loop, which forces the wet reverberated signal back into the input creating some over the top noise effects, as well as the boost footswitch which instantly doubles the amount of reverb for an instant wave of sound.

The output gain, with the additional clipping options of symmetrical, asymmetrical or no clipping selects between a range of gain shapes and amplitudes. The gain control can swing from a gritty boost at lower settings, to an overdriving blown speaker-like fuzz tone when maxed.

Expression input controls the reverb volume using a standard 10k-50k expression pedal, for hands free amplitude modulation, or use it in conjunction with the dry cut switch for ambient wet-only volume swells.

Plug any and all instruments into this box of utter sonic dystopia, for an endlessly reverberant, fuzzed out noise experience no effects pedal has yet to reach.

Handmade in Newcastle, Australia. With a lifetime warranty.

CONTROLS

Master: Output volume control.
Reverb: Blends in the amount of wet reverberated signal with the dry signal.
Colour: Tone control of the reverb, left for darkness/right for brightness.
Decay: Adjusts the length of the reverb trail, as well as intensifying the feedback loop at higher decay levels.
Gain: Acts as a distortion control on the output of the pedal, anywhere up to half way acts as a gritty boost to an overdrive, everything above goes into fuzz territory, when the ‘reverb’ knob is fully counter clockwise the distortion can be used entirely on it’s own.
Feedback: Controls the intensity of the feedback loop.
Toggle Switch: Switches between standard feedback and a tremolo controlled feedback modulator.
Rate: Alters the speed of the internal LFO that modulates the feedback loop tremolo, from slow pulses to a stuttering chaos.
Boost Footswitch: Doubles the amplitude of the reverberated signal, creating an instant wall of sound.
Feedback Footswitch: When held down the feedback loop is engaged, releasing turns it off.
Bypass Footswitch: True bypass, effect ON/OFF.
EXP: Expression pedal input, which modulates the amplitude of the reverb signal. [10k-50k expression pedal]
Symmetrical: Even soft-clipping, which gets compressed and fuzzy at high gain levels.
OFF: Diode clipping is removed, the distortion heard is the op-amps overloading far beyond its limits. (Warning: will produce buzzing, noise, and potentially harmful levels of gain).
Asymmetrical: Uneven hard-clipping, harsh and nasally, a mixture between symmetrical and no clipping.
Dry Switch: Cuts the dry signal completely out of the mix for a 100% wet reverberated output, which is best used in conjunction with the EXP for ambient volume swells.

This pedal runs on a 9V DC (negative tip/positive sleeve) power supply, current drawn is 76mA.

Essential reading for PowerPoint presenters.
Format: Paperback, Format: Paperback
Cliff shows details how to improve our PowerPoint presentations. He gives concrete and simple steps to transform a message into a targeted presentation. All of us have suffered from presenters who went over their allotted time because they had vital information to give us, yet we still didn't know their main point. Many have seen slide decks burdened with dozens of bullet points. Did the volume of points yield more clarity or did they dull our ability to focus on the message? Probably not. Read Cliff's book. Follow his method and you'll be a more effective presenter.

Useful with some scientific corroboration
Format: Paperback
Worth it as a primer to slide content and how it inter-relates to the delivery when giving a presentation. Very slightly laboured, like most TV documentaries nowadays - you feel they could move a bit faster (...yeah we got it the first time).

Simple and streamlined to meet anyone's needs
Format: Paperback
This book rocks! It provide a simple and structured way to define, develop and deliver a "Kick Ass" presentation that you can project or just use from the podium. It bring the audio and visual together to compliment a story to be shared. It has taken the hassel factor out of designing a presentation for anyone on any subject. Thank you!

Lasting value but degraded presentation
Format: Paperback
I've been a BBP fan since the first edition in 2005. The second edition in 2007 was a significant update and refinement. The latest, 2011 edition, is not worth buying if you already have the second edition -- the information is essentially the same but the 2011 is printed on cheap paper and the contrast between text and background for most of the illustrations is lousy, e.g. black text on a dark grey background, white text on a light grey background. I found it very difficult to read. The online version (O'Reilly Safari Books OnLine) is slightly better because it allows you to magnify the low contrast images which makes them slightly more legible. Thankfully, access to the online version is included with the ink-on-paper book free via a scratch-off, lottery ticket-type insert at the back of the book. If I had to do it again, I'd skip the paper book from Amazon and just purchase electronic access via O'Reilly. This version is more legible and you can print important pages that you might want hard copies of to highlight, mark-up, etc.

Powerful for the presenter
Format: Paperback
My boss's boss recently told me that our organization's presentations are boring data dumps that make her wish she was somewhere other than there listening but not really hearing or caring about this slide and dreading the next. She suggested that since I was going to be doing a lot of presentations in the future I should avoid that method and do better presentations. I immediately sought advice from our best presenter and learned that his method came from his gut feelings about what worked better. He has good instincts but to codify what he explained I decided to buy a book to learn why his approach works. The closest book with an effective explanation I could find is "beyond bullet points". It captured and expanded on the instinct my new mentor explained so that I could now understand how to use the slides to supplement the story and how to interweave the data so the whole presentation is more meaningful and memorable. I recommend this book to anyone looking for more of an answer on how to improve their presentations and eliminate the data dump in bullet points.
